The Kershaw County School District, in partnership with the United Way of Kershaw County, announces its Summer Meals program to ensure local children have access to nutritious food while school is out. The program will run from June 1 through July 17, 2026, Monday – Thursday each week (all locations will be closed on Thursday, July 2.)
This summer, students are encouraged to Go Wild with books through KCSD and the Kershaw County Library! Complete your summer reading challenge, return your log to school in August for a KCSD reading reward, and join the library for even more summer fun. Elementary and middle school students can earn a free book, and high school students can join the teen summer reading challenge and join fun programming at KCL. Download your reading log at www.kcsdschools.net/read.
KCSD’s end-of-year updates include half-days on May 21–22, graduation ceremony details, July registration dates and residency requirements, a new high school School-Based Health Center partnership, and the first day of school on July 30, 2026.
Kershaw County School District is shifting to an e-Learning Day for Monday, March 16, as severe weather is forecasted for our area. All school buildings and offices will be closed. All Monday after school activities and sporting events are also cancelled.
The Kershaw County School District (KCSD) will open its online pre-registration process for four- and five-year-old kindergarten classes for the 2026-2027 school year on January 26. Families are able to complete the process online but can also attend in-person help sessions if needed on Thursday, February 19. The online system will be open through February 27.
